‹Favorit Hangul›

‹파보리트 한글 Favorit Hangul›은 스위스의 타입 파운더리 디나모 DINAMO가 제안하여 2013 출시한 ‹파보리트 Favorit›를 한글 버전으로 해석한 서체로 디자이너 윤민구와 함께 작업에 참여했다. 기하학적 형태의 산세리프 서체로, 밑줄이 들어가 있는 버전의 ‹파보리트 한글 라이닝 Favorit Hangul Lining›은 글자와 밑줄이 한글의 형태에 맞게 연결되는 특징을 가지고 있다. 한글 11,172자와 로만 알파벳, 숫자와 기호활자를 포함하고 있다.

‹블랑 BLANC›

가로줄기와 세로줄기의 대비가 큰 제목용 한글꼴. 2014년 작업한 글꼴 ‘꽃담’의 스케치를 바탕으로 글꼴 디자이너 윤민구와 협업을 통해 새롭게 디자인했다. 날카롭지만 부드러운 감수성을 동시에 지녔다. 한글 2,575자와 로만 알파벳, 숫자와 기호활자를 포함하며, 세로쓰기용 글리프를 한 벌 추가하여 가로쓰기와 세로쓰기 각각 적절한 시각흐름선으로 정렬된다.

글꼴 〈블랑〉으로 조판된 모양자 & 달력 세트. 알루미늄 모양자, 달력, 원목 스탠드로 구성되었다. 〈블랑〉은 2014년 김지은이 작업한 글꼴 〈꽃담〉의 스케치를 바탕으로 글꼴 디자이너 윤민구와 협업을 통해 새롭게 디자인한 글꼴로, 가로줄기와 세로줄기의 대비가 큰 제목용 글꼴이다. 모양자를 사용해 〈블랑〉 글꼴을 손으로 직접 그리고 칠하며 형태를 탐구할 수 있다.

Set of a typeface ‘Blanc’ with shape stencil ruler and calendars. It consists of an aluminium stencil ruler, calendar and wooden stand. ‘Blanc’ is a font for titles having a heavy contrast between the width and the height; it is newly designed based on Jieun Kim’s practice of ‘Kottdam’ and sketch in collaboration with typeface designer, Mingoo Yoon. Users can explore the shape of ‘Blanc’ by drawing and colouring the font with the stencil ruler.

글꼴 모양자 키트
Type lettering kit
〈글꼴 모양자 키트〉는 사용자가 직접 손으로 글자를 그리면서 한글의 형태와 균형을 탐구하는 경험을 위한 도구다. 명조, 순명조, 고딕, 환고딕 4종의 글꼴을 그릴 수 있는 모양자와 매뉴얼, 원도지로 구성되었다. 사용자는 매뉴얼을 통해 모양자의 어느 부분을 사용해 어떤 글자를 그릴 수 있는지 알게 되고, 모양자 속에 분해된 구성 요소를 재조합해 글자의 형태와 균형을 직접 체험하고 학습할 수 있다.

 〈Type lettering kit〉gives the users the experience of exploring the shape and balance of Hangeul. Inside the kit are the shape stencil ruler, a manual and drawing paper. These can be used to draw four fonts: Myeongjo, Sunmyeongjo, Gothic and Hwan-Gothic. Users can find out which part of stencil rulers can be used and which kind of letters can be drawn with the rulers. Also, users can reorganize seperated factors inside the stencil rulers in order to have actual experiences of the shape and balance of the letters.
